March 3, 2007 - A New Tool in My Tester's Tool Box - WebMon

Posted in Tools

If you want a quick, easy way to check on a web page for updates, without having to write a script, WebMon by Colin Markwell just might be the right tool.

It doesn't do much, but what it does, it does well, simply, and inexpensively (it's free!).  WebMon can periodically watch any number of web pages (or any portion of a page), and visually report when one has changed.  It can also launch a program once it notices a change has occurred..

From the web site:

WebMon is a freeware web page update monitoring program - it saves you time and keeps you updated by automatically checking web pages to see if they have changed.

Check it out at http://www.btinternet.com/~markwell/webmon/
