May 15, 2009 - Bruins Season Ends - Better than Last Year, Still Somewhat Disappointing

Posted in Sports

New England Sports
2008-2009 Season
(so far)

The Boston Bruins this year ended the season as the Number 1 Seed in the East.

They handled the rival Montreal Canadians easily in the first round.

But the second round saw the more experienced Carolina Hurricanes come in and beat the younger Bruins in seven games, in overtime.

Closer than last year.  But when you are the Number 1 Seed and are in SportsTown USA, you are expected to advance.  A good regular season, but an earlier end to the playoffs than we had hoped for.
