February 10, 2008 - NFL 2007 Season Predictions - Revisited

Before the 2007 NFL season, I collected predictions from 35 local and national sportswriters.  (see: http://www.sqablogs.com/jstrazzere/1254/NFL+2007+Season+Predictions.html)

Now that the season is over (and the pain from the Patriots' Super Bowl loss is beginning to wear off), it's time to revisit those predictions.

• A majority of the writers predicted that the Patriots would be playing in the Super Bowl.  Good for them! 
• And of course all of them also predicted that the Patriots would win the Super Bowl.  Well, almost.
• Now, how many predicted that the Giants would win the Super Bowl?  None!
• Well then, how many predicted that the Giants would at least play in the Super Bowl?  Again none!
• Ok, then how many at least predicted that the Giants would make the playoffs?  You guessed it - none!

Remember, these folks get paid to write their opinions!
