September 11, 2007 - I remember

I remember September 11, 2001.

I remember being in a meeting when I heard that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center.  When the meeting finished, we went upstairs to watch on the projection screen television, along with the rest of the company.

I remember that at first nobody was sure if this was a horrible accident or something else.  Then we saw the second plane crash into the second tower and we knew.  It was a sad, upsetting day.

I remember that the next day for me was equally upsetting.  That was when I got a phone call informing me that a friend and former co-worker, Anna Williams Allison, was on American Airlines flight #11 - the first plane to crash into a tower.
