Dreamplug is go!
Just gave away one of my beloved Sun workstations *sob* - still it's going to a good home, to someone who is into security testing.
On the plus side just bought a Dreamplug to replace it *hoorah!*: http://www.newit.co.uk . This little box of tricks features 2x gigabit ethernet, WiFi, a 1.2GHz Kirkwood ARM CPU and runs Ubuntu / Debian. Oh and as a plug computer it only draws 5-11W, MUCH less than the Sun U10 did ;)
More posts as I update the thing - current plans are that it will be used as a network emulator for performance testing. Think: something not a million miles away from a Mini Maxwell and you'll be along the right track.
